Candle Care & Safety

Preparing Your Candle

Your candle has been prepared with intention and awaits your engagement. Before lighting, pause. Hold the vessel in your hands. Acknowledge the work it is here to hold. You may speak aloud or inwardly, clarity matters more than volume.

Step One: Preparation

You will need a pen and a small piece of paper (approximately A6 size).
This establishes the physical container for the work.

Step Two: Intention

Write who the Waxomancy® session is for and clearly state the intention.
This names what is ready to enter transformation.

Step Three: Activation

Read your written intention to the unlit candle.
This begins the engagement between intention and matter.

Step Four: Ignition

Light your Waxomancy® candle.
The alchemical process is initiated through flame.

Step Five: Dissolution

Read your intention again to the lit candle.
As the wax melts, what has been held begins to soften and reorganise.

Step Six: Transmutation

Observe the flame, wick, and wax as the process unfolds.
Separation, release, and reorganisation occur naturally within the contained space.

Step Seven: Integration

When the candle has completed its burn, the active session is complete.

Integration may take a few nights’ sleep or several weeks, depending on what has been transmuted. Support this phase with water, rest, time in nature, creativity, and gentle awareness of your internal shifts.

The jar holds the record of the work, but nothing remains active. We encourage recycling the glass vessel once the session has concluded.

Each time you light the flame, return briefly to that awareness. When you extinguish it, close the moment with steadiness rather than haste.

For the first burn, allow the candle to create a full melt pool, approximately 3–4 hours.
For subsequent burns, 1–3 hours is sufficient.

Containment supports clean transmutation.

Candle Care & Safety

Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn.

Keep the wax pool clear of debris.

Burn away from drafts, vents, or air currents.

Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

Never move the candle while lit or while wax is liquefied.

Keep away from flammable materials.

Do not place beneath shelves or enclosed spaces.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Burn candles at least three inches apart.

If the flame becomes excessively high, extinguish, allow to cool, trim the wick, and relight when stable.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Never burn while sleeping.
